What does Hephaestus do?
Hephaestus creates original images for every publication:
- 🎨 Analyzes each article's content and creates a relevant prompt
- 🖼️ Generates images in editorial/photorealistic style
- 🔄 Adapts — if a style is blocked, tries alternatives (illustration, digital art)
- 📐 Optimizes every image (crop, resize, quality) for web performance
- 📁 Stores locally — no dependency on external services
The Challenge
AI image generation is perhaps the most challenging job on the team. Safety filters, copyright issues, aesthetic taste — Hephaestus handles it all automatically. If an image fails, Argos notifies him and Hephaestus retries with a different style.
